Gernot on summit of
Vinson Massif

Vinson Massif

Personal memories:
Thirteen days waiting in Punta Arenas for good weather.
Although Vinson was a rather easy mountain for me it was physically a difficult one; I got a bad cold and half-side facial palsy walking up the mountain which our physician told me might be the first indicator of a brain tumour or a stroke.  However, back in the central camp, another doctor identified a common facial nerve paralysis.
